Allons Vert Partners Christine Seidu To Embark On A Clean-up Exercise

Allons Vert, a non- governmental organization (NGO) working towards the promotion of hygiene and sanitation in the Upper East region in partnership with Christine Xuereb Seidu, a volunteer at the Hopin Academy, an entrepreneurial organization in Tamale will on Saturday June 9  2018 embark on a massive clean-up exercise at the Lamashegu market.

According to Madam Seidu, the move forms part of efforts to rid off filth in the market and to also mark the World Environment Day Campaign, which is celebrated on the 5th of June every year.

Madam Seidu met with the chief of Lamashegu to seek for permission

“This is just one of the many ways that we want to use to make sure that the metropolis indeed becomes clean and so, we are entreating everyone to join us in the fight to make Tamale one of the cleanest places in the country,” she said.

She indicated that the move was being sponsored by the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), Zoom Lion in Tamale, Hatoum Co and Hopin Academy.

Madam Seidu stated further, that there would also be an educational talk after the clean-up exercise  on the dangers involved in throwing plastic waste in  unauthorized places.
